What We’re Looking For


API Platform Engineering team is looking for an experienced API Developer. You will be responsible for developing API Proxies and Policies in adherence to the API Specifications and Standards developed for the BM Technologies API Platform. You should be willing to challenge designs when efficiencies or errors are found to ensure the best API proxies are delivered. You will ensure code is tested with pre-developed test scripts prior to moving forward with deploying our API. The Core API team is responsible for creating an API ecosystem that oversees centralizing the most important core functionalities of our client's daily operations.


  • Design, develop and maintain REST-based services (WEB API) in a C#.Net environment.
  • Write and modify complex and efficient MS SQL Server Stored Procedures and Queries as needed.
  • Design and develop backend systems that integrate to external systems and support existing processes, as well as develop and maintain Web/Windows applications.
  • Prepare test data and functional specifications.
  • Build integrations with various external services based on technical documents.
  • Working with software development teams to gather requirements, coach best practices, and set their API strategy.
  • Assisting in design of APIs to core consistent standards.
  • Building and creating API Proxies in Apigee.
  • Developing API Policies & Shared Flows.
  • Designing, Implementing & Supporting solutions for API security, authentication, identity management, traffic management, analytics, and performance management for APIs.
  • Creating technical guides and examples to coach multiple software development teams on working with APIs.
  • Running test scripts against code to ensure quality delivery.
  • Resolving code issues with urgency.


  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant technology degree.
  • Five or more years of relevant software or API development experience.
  • Two or more years of experience in REST API development.
  • Two or more years of experience creating APIs and Shared Flows in Apigee.
  • Three or more years of experience working with either Java, Python or Node. js.
  • Experience creating OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
  • Core tool knowledge for SCM and continuous integration (Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Gitlab, Github).
  • Detail oriented abilities to ensure code meets user stories details.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work from a home office, if applicable
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment and communicate effectively up to executive level
