Overview

 

BM Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced senior accountant to join its fast-growing fintech organization. This is a great opportunity for growth and to take that next step up in your career progression as the individual will be promotable to Assistant Controller. Initially reporting to both the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) and the Controller, the senior accountant will be the hands-on resource for SEC filings and SOX compliance, as well as part of the team driving the monthly close and the monthly financial statements. The senior accountant must be comfortable with both high-level processes and detail, working closely with all levels, to include the accounting staff, executive team, and external auditors.

 

Responsibilities

  • Compile accurate, timely and complete SEC filings.
  • Assist with the coordination of audit activity with external auditors.
  • Maintain an effective and scaled SOX-compliant internal control environment.
  • Assist the CAO and Controller with accounting policies, monthly close, and financials.    

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA required.
  • An MBA would be great but not essential.
  • Blend of 3-4 years of audit and public company experience.
  • Hands-on experience with SEC reporting, SOX compliance, accounting policy.
  • Hands-on accounting close and financial statement package experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be resilient, calm, and a team player.
  • Must be accurate and detail oriented with ability to be productive under tight deadlines.
