    BankMobile, a division of Customers Bank, is looking for Quality Assurance Analysts to join our growing Engineering team. We are looking for a team member who desires to be part of an innovative team while continuing to grow.

     

    The candidate will test, document and troubleshoot our BankMobile Disbursements suite of web-based applications and contribute to our suite of automated tests. You will work as part of a dynamic team with a passion for technology and be involved in testing new functionality as well as enhancements to the existing applications and systems. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a quick paced environment, experienced finding and reporting defects, and ensuring follow-through to resolution. You will be expected to think critically and creatively in the pursuit of high-quality product offerings. The ability to learn our products quickly and be a self-starter will help lead to success within the team.

    Responsibilities

    • Work concurrently on testing of projects, enhancements, and bug fixes where requirements or instructions may differ from one to the other.
    • Analyze system requirements and technical specs to create an end-to-end test plan to ensure all objectives are met and the feature works as expected.
    • The feature should be tested in terms of functionality, performance, stability, and compatibility with legacy or external systems.
    • Critically think about how end users will interact with the product and turn those thoughts into test cases, action items, and avenues of discussion.
    • Execute tests focusing on ways to breach the security of our system using tools like Tamper Data
    • Link to project test cases and plans from our shared document repository, Confluence.
    • Execute test cases ranging from simple to complex at all levels of the product (UI, database, batch processing, 3rd party integrations etc.)
    • Troubleshoot product defects and identify root causes.
    • Report clear and concise software defects, providing reproducible steps where applicable
    • Work closely with others to investigate defects
    • Write SQL queries and manipulate the database to support your testing efforts
    • While attending early stage requirements or project check-ins, contribute ideas for enhancements and/or modifications to improve the product
    • Participate in cross training sessions to gain and share knowledge of the product

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of hands-on testing experience with complex Web-based and client-server applications
    • Clear communicator (written and verbal) to ensure ability to write test plans and test cases and communicate these to developers and stakeholders.
    • Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables, identifying large issues early in the test cycle.
    • Assertive self-starting attitude, with the ability to work independently and in a team based environment
    • Strong analytical, technical and problem solving skills
    • Experience using tools to test server side validation and security risks
    • Understanding of programming and relational database concepts
    • Experience using tools to test web service calls.
    • Experience using/managing defect tracking tools
    • Ability to write SQL queries
    • Experience with Unix operating system a plus
    • Familiarity with the following: Java, XML, SQL, Oracle, Linux, Git, Jenkins, Stash, Angular a plus.
    • Understanding of HTML, CSS, and web-based browser functionality
    • Experience testing web functionality on a range of mobile devices a plus.
    • Previous use of JMeter, Serenity or load test tools a plus
