Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Scrum Master to join our team. The individual in this role will be responsible for overseeing the development of features and remediation of bugs within our White-Label Banking application. This individual will work hand in hand with the Product Managers, Tech Leads, Developers and other Key Stakeholders to deliver on our roadmap commitments. We are seeking a candidate who has proven leadership skills, the ability to think critically and solve problems, and a track-record of met project milestones and deadlines. Keeping the team healthy and happy is a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage one or more Scrum teams in diverse geographical locations
  • Drive progress of the product's roadmap as prioritized by the Product Manager
  • Build high-performing teams by leading continuous improvement efforts, managing conflicts, and finding creative ways to build trust and camaraderie among remote teammates
  • Facilitate transparency through frequent and relevant communication of project/team health and status with management and outside stakeholders
  • Coordinate all sprint ceremonies including standups, roadmap sessions, planning, and retrospectives
  • Keep the team focused on the task at hand, identify and remove impediments, call out risks early and often, protect the team from uncontrolled scope changes
  • Create a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving
  • Define, provide, and interpret agile metrics to effectively plan and track sprint commitments and delivery
  • Help organize inter-team dependencies, coordination, and cooperation
  • Train, coach, and evangelize Agile mindset, frameworks, and practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years work experience as a Scrum Master or similar role
  • CSM or comparable agile certification
  • Servant leader who exemplifies Agile values and principles
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with business and technology individuals at all levels, including the executive level
  • In-depth knowledge of software development life cycle models as well as knowledge of Product Management, Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration
  • Exceptional analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
  • Solid understanding of Azure DevOps or similar tool to organize team’s backlog, Scrum board, burndown charts, functional impact analysis, cost analysis and velocity monitoring
  • Proven interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, team building, and handling varying personality types
  • Learns and grows quickly
  • Willing to jump in
