BMTX is looking for a Banking Operations Specialist to join our banking team. This position will be remote with the ability to work flexible hours (7am-7:30pm). The ideal candidate will have experience in back-office banking operations and an understanding of ACH and money movement. In addition, the position is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to back office banking operations functions.  Ensure tasks are completed timely, accurately and according to policy and procedures to avoid risk and loss.  Communicate timely critical information to supervisor for resolution.

• Perform a variety of duties related to banking operations including but not limited to paper and mobile deposit processing, non-post and stop payment exception processing, ACH and wire research ensuring transactions are researched properly and processed accurately in a timely manner
• Meets critical processing deadlines for all assigned tasks.
• Understand banking regulations to minimize or eliminate potential loss.
• Recognize irregular or suspicious activity and take appropriate steps to prevent loss
• Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory procedures and adhere to compliance guidelines
• Notify supervisor as necessary for problem resolution process when there are system issues
• Provide excellent service to both internal and external customers.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree or minimum 5 years banking operations experience
• AAP certified a plus
• Solid understanding and strong working knowledge of banking regulations
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Demonstrates analytical problem solving skills.
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize assignments.
• Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word
• Proven propensity to learn new technologies quickly.
• Ability to provide stellar customer service to resolution
• Has the ability to acquire new skills efficiently, and thrives in a collaborative team environment
• Self-motivated
• Enjoys new challenges in a rapidly growing changing environment
